MYTOGOBOOK is a social network and online planner. The system is based on relationships, access to content is determined by relationships. There are two types of content namely events and pages. You can choose who to share your events and pages with and you can also choose to create entirely private events.
The left page of your MYTOGOBOOK is for main content and the right page includes blocks of information for imminent events and recent pages, comments and images. The only block visible for an anonymous visitor is Public pages. As you form relationships and create events and pages, the right page of your MYTOGOBOOK becomes increasingly more populated and informative. Again content is determined by your relationships with other users.
- Import your contacts from a CSV file. Contacts are added to your Contacts list.
- An account is created for those contacts you import via a CSV file, they are also sent their account login information.
- Manage your family, freind and business relationships via your profile. Request relationships via another user's profile.
- Create events and choose to share your events with those who you have a family, freind or business relationship with. Or choose to share with no one i.e. create a private event.
- View your events in year, month, week and day calendars. There are calendars for each type of relationship for example your business calendar is populated with business events by those you share a business relationship with. The key to understanding MYTOGOBOOK content is to realise that YOUR content is NEVER mixed in with content by those you share a relationship with.
- Create public and relationship pages. Public pages can be accessed by anyone and relationship pages can be accessed only by those who you share a relationship with.
- Pages can include text, images and video.
- Comments can be added to both events and pages and you can choose to subscribe to a particular event or page. Subscription to an event or page means your are notified by email when comments are added. The subscription option appears at the top right of the right page when a full page or event is loaded.
By default a Contact relationship is formed between yourself and those you import. The system works as follows ..
- User A imports User B.
- User B is sent an email including their account login details.
- User B is sent an email explaining why an account has been created for them.
- User A can update User B's profile information by importing an updated CSV file so long as User B has not logged in.
- User C imports User B.
- User B already exists therefore a Contact relationship is not formed between User B and User C and instead User B is sent a request to form a Contact relationship with User C.
The system is very robust and secure. What a user is able to see depends entirely on relationships and a user is at all times able to manage their relationships. If someone is trying to form a relationship with you, make sure you know who they are before accepting their request to form a relationship. A relationship request email includes a link to the requesters profile, as a registered user you may view Name and Country profile fields. Another way to verify the identity for a requester is to contact them; after loading a profile, click the Contact tab at the top and send a message.
Your profile fields and relationship content can only be accessed by those you share a relatioship with. It is NOT possible for another user to form additional relationships with you after the initial import without your concent.
